....learn about the tasty berries you love to eat in jam, syrup, candy and more!
Huckleberries
The huckleberry is a non-cultivated berry that grows in the mountain ranges above 5000 feet. Huckleberries resemble a blueberry, yet the taste is wild, rare and bold. The huckleberry is widely proclaimed as nature's most distinctive berry. Huckleberry patches are closely guarded secrets and once found their location is not shared....except perhaps for the bears who love them as much as we do. Huckleberries make fantastic tasting jam, syrup, candy, and pie filling. Huckleberries taste great on pancakes, in muffins, pie and mixed together with chocolate.Chokecherries
The wild chokecherry is a hardy berry that can be found in prairies, plains and river banks. Its great abundance, distinctive tart flavor and rich color has made it one of the most popular wild berries. Chokecherries are not usually found in commercially made products but have been a staple of home preserving for years. This is your opportunity to enjoy chokecherries without any of the work. The chokecherry is delicious in syrup, jam, tea, and honey.
Sweet Cherries
The sweet cherry is best described as a cross between a Bing and Lambert cherry. Growing along hillsides and next to waterways, this orchard like tree is able to withstand harsh conditions. Its bright rich red color and slightly sweet flavor distinguishes it from other cherries. Our cherries come primarily from the Flathead Lake region and we offer them in jam, syrup, honey, and candies. Our cherry cordials will melt in your mouth.
